STUDY

Global competence can be defined as the capacity and disposition to understand and act on issues of global significance.  It is not an example of add-on lessons, but instead should be an implicit part of curriculum K-12.  It provides an  interconnectedness between subject matter, between classmates and their communities,  and between the world's citizens.  It is a tool box of knowledge, skills, mindset and values that are needed to thrive right now.  It’s not just about learning about the world, it’s learning WITH the world through social-emotional, behavioral, and cognitive skills.
